Panther "Ausf A" Build

Hetzer Welcome To My Homepage Panther "A"

Photo Gallery

This is my scratchbuild Panther Sd.Kfz. 171 Ausf A project from start to finish.

Here is the hull, all pieces already handcut and fitted for the basic shape.

Here the turret is finished and primed then test fitted. The barrel travel lock in the front top was obtained from "Fields of Armor".

Rear view showing "Panzerwerks" resin detail pieces and brass accessories obtained from Mike Stannard back in 2005.

Tamiya "Dark Yellow" paint airbrushed on over primer.

Mike Stannard accessory pieces mounted and "balkenkruez" markings handpainted on hull.

Running gear and track links mounted. Custom Tank Commander in place. This shows a nice view of Mike Stannard's accessories mounted along the side of the hull.

Test fitting detail pieces and sealing the hull. Many detailed resin parts were obtained from "Panzerwerks" some years ago before he closed shop. Good thing I planned so far in advance.
